The Founders of IsportU

Left to right: Elsa Koh, Anna Koh, Frances Koh
IsportU was founded by three sisters—Anna, Frances, and Elsa—each driven by their love for sports and a desire to make a positive impact on the world. Anna, now studying at college, trained at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in France, where she is immersed in a world of high-performance tennis. Elsa, an elite-level tennis player, continues her training in Connecticut, USA, while Frances, who has a deep passion for soccer, pursues her love for the game through community engagement and leadership.

The idea for IsportU was born from the three sisters' experience during a trip to Myanmar in 2019. While visiting a small tennis center in Yangon, they were struck by the stark contrast between her well-equipped academy and the resource limitations at the Myanmar center. With only three courts, uneven surfaces, and minimal equipment, the athletes there still showed immense talent. It was a moment of realization for the three—how could such skilled players train without the proper resources? They recognized her privilege in having access to the best facilities and coaching, and it inspired them to act.
Anna and Elsa envisioned a platform that could provide underprivileged athletes with access to the tools and opportunities they needed to pursue their dreams, much like she had the chance to do. This vision became the foundation of IsportU—a platform that not only offers athletic opportunities but also promotes inclusivity and equity in sports. Along with Frances, who was just 9 years old at the time, Anna and Elsa set out to build IsportU into a resource for young athletes everywhere who are limited by their circumstances.

As IsportU grows, the three sisters continue to lead with a shared commitment to helping children realize their full potential, regardless of their background or the resources available to them. Through donation drives, athletic events, and ongoing community work, they aim to level the playing field for all aspiring athletes.
